HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

April 2022 - Sarah B.

Our CAVE staff nominated Sarah B. as our High School Student of the Month because she has been on top of all of her classes since she started. Sarah shows a lot of maturity, has a calm manner, and is really easy to work with.

Sarah is interested in going to college for Chemistry, Biology or Bio-Chemistry. She likes CAVE since it sort of prepares you for college. She likes the fact that you can work on your own time, at your own pace, but you can easily reach out for support from your teachers and principal when you need it.

Sarah mentioned tha her best experience she has had throughout her education career is in CAVE. She really likes her Forensic Science and Philosophy classes. However, her all-time-favorite class is The Lord of the Rings.

Outside of school, Sarah likes painting, landscape photography, and swimming. She also enjoys time with her family. Sarah has three sisters and one brother. She also loves babysitting her two-year-old nephew.

Sarah believes that CAVE is really designed for intendent learners as well as those that cannot focus in a traditional classroom. Sarah stated, "CAVE is one of the best decisions I have made yet, as now I am not only getting much better grades, but I am learning so much more and retaining that information. Thank you CAVE!"

Congratulations Sarah on being our High School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing CAVE.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

April 2022 - Brennan A.

Our CAVE staff nominated Brennan A. as our Middle School Student of the Month because from the start, Brennan has been working hard to get ahead, asking for help when he needs it, and he seems a passion to not only get things done, but to learn the material that he is working on.

Brennan likes to ride his bike, listen to vintage music, and collecting all forms of music (records, cassette tapes, CDs, etc.). Brennan worked with his dad to make his own stereo out of an old system that was built in the 70s. Brennan also likes to collect old matchbox cars. He has a cabinet full of them. Brennan also is taking piano lessons and he hopes to get really good at that. Brennan has a dog named Wilson that is fun, friendly and full of energy, so Brennan likes to play with him a lot.

When asked what he likes most about our CAVE program, Brennan likes that our program is flexible. He also likes that it is set up with due dates, so he can focus and get things done ahead of time. After working ahead, he is able to spend time working with his Dad and his Dad's business.

Brennan loves history and that is his favorite class. He likes learning about things in the past and how this country got started.

Brennan's advice for new students who want to join CAVE is to follow the due dates and get things done. School can be fun if you do. You can get ahead in your classes and then take advantage of the flexibility by taking a couple of days off if you need to.

After high school, Brennan hopes to be some type of engineer. He likes building things and working with his hands. He is also interested in becoming a musician and playing the piano. He also likes to work with his hands so he might try a little bit as an auto mechanic too.

Brennan also wants to mention that CAVE has amazing teachers and they are always there to help you. All you need to do is email them and they get right back to you quickly. He hopes that more people join CAVE because it is really an amazing experience and he is glad to be part of a great program. Brennan would like to be in the CAVE program all the way through his senior year.

Congratulations Brennan on being our Middle School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing CAVE.
