STUDENT OF THE MONTH

December 2018 is Jed R.

CAVE staff nominated Jed because of his enthusiasm and his many interesting hobbies. One of Jed's teachers mentioned that Jed works hard, is friendly and is willing to share.

Jed's favorite hobbies include building with Legos, Railfanning (watching trains) and of course playing video games. Jed likes to combine his hobbies by building real trains out of Legos. Jed was asked to create a display of his love of trains at the local library. Check out the video to see what he did.

Jed is also very involved with his local 4-H Club. In fact he was voted as Vice-President this year. He is in charge of the Community Service Committee, which has the goal to serve club, community, country and the world. This year's project is "Rake and Run".

Jed has been studying Martial Arts too. He has been involved in Kyuki Do for the past 6 years. In November he tested for his 6th Kup or Blue belt, which is halfway to being a Black belt.

When asked what does he like most about our CAVE program, Jed likes the fact that he can do his school work on the go. He can work at the library, at home, at his aunt's house, and at the coffee shop. He also likes the fact that he can work double in a day in order to take a day off.

Jed's favorite class is English with Mrs. David. He likes her class because he can write fun, short stories and read some really good books.

His advice to students interested in joining CAVE is to "not rush through your work. Slow down, read the questions carefully and take the time to proofread your answers to make sure they are good."

Jed is not sure what he wants to do after high school. His dream job would be becoming a master builder with Lego designing so he can build all sorts of Lego displays.

We are proud of you Jed. Thank you for choosing CAVE.
