CAVE's Mission

Our vision is to empower students to become lifelong learners by giving them ownership of their learning.

2023-2024 Open Enrollment

The Open Enrollment period has ended on Friday, April 28th.  However, if you are a new student to CAVE, you can still open enroll into our school.  You will have to officially wait until July 1st.  Please call our office at 715-458-5611 and see if we are right for you.  

It is WHAT's NEW WEDNESDAY, June 28th edition . 


1)  Mr. Griffith's last day as our CAVE Administrator is tomorrow.  John Meznarich, jmeznarich@cave.cameron.k12.wi.us will be taking over.  You can still contact the CAVE Office at 715-458-5610 if you have any questions or if you are interested in learning more about our program.  


2) Summer has been here for about a month and our Summer Reading Program is up and running.  Check out the details on our webpage at: https://www.cave.cameron.k12.wi.us/student-activites/summer-reading-program

Remember to keep track of your reading and share some of your favorite reads this summer!


3)  Our next CAVE Parent Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for  Tuesday, July 11th at 8:00 a.m. via Zoom.  Our next CAVE Governance Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, August at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.  We still need a few more members to join each group.  Please take a little time and help support our program.  Email Mr. Meznarich to get a Zoom invite for either (or both) meetings.  Thank you!


4) The Class of 2023 celebrated their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 3rd in the Cameron Middle School Auditorium.  You can check out the senior slide show on our webpage: https://www.cave.cameron.k12.wi.us/student-activites/graduation-ceremony and watch the ceremony on our Facebook page.


5)  REGULAR OPEN ENROLLMENT season is over for this year.  However if you know anyone interested or if you have any questions, please contact us in the CAVE Office at 715-458-5611, check out our webpage: www.cave.cameron.k12.wi.us  or email our new CAVE Administrator, John Meznarich for more details jmeznarich@cave.cameron.k12.wi.us.   We can start enrolling students in July, so please pass on the word.

2018 WDLC Teacher of the Year

Our own Sarah David is one of 5 WDLC Teachers of the Year.  Sarah received this award because of her support in helping and teaching students.  She is also an AWESOME Colleague.  Congratulations Sarah! It is very well deserved!

2017 WDLC Teacher of the Year

Our own Janean Ranis is one of 5 WDLC Teachers of the Year. Janean received this award because of all the extra work she does keeping our WEN (Wisconsin E-School Network) system up and running for our students and staff.  She also mentors our teachers and work with WEN support staff to fix any issues that arise.  She has been a valuable member of our program.  Congratulations Janean!  It is very well deserved!

What are we?

 

We are a PUBLIC SCHOOL and we follow all state statutes governing public education.  We receive public funds for our operations, and we follow the fiscal rules established by the State of Wisconsin.

 

We are a CHARTER SCHOOL authorized by the Cameron School District Board of Education.  Our chartering document is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.  We follow all state and federal guidelines established for charter schools.


We are a VIRTUAL SCHOOL where students take all or part of their educational studies online.  We actively utilize technology as a learning tool in our virtual environment.  We follow the guidelines established by the State of Wisconsin for virtual schools
