CAVE Student recieves a high honor!

On Thursday, Annika W. was recognized for completion of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet program by earning the Eaker Award. She has been promoted to Cadet Lt Col, which is something only about 2% of cadets achieve. This award had to be presented by the Region Commander or a government official, and WI State Senator Jeff Smith was able to attend and do that for us. We are proud of you Annika!!!

All students and parents of students will have access to the Career Cruising project. Students in grades 7-12 have to participate in this project, however the time that is required is very minimal. This is a State requirement to provide an easy to use program that helps students focus on what careers a student might be interested, assess interests and skills to see if they match those careers and provide information that students and parents can use to help achieve those career goals. To start with, start with a short 10 minute video on how on what the program is about, how to get started and finally provide a template to create a student's personal resume', which is one of our two goals for this year. The other goal is to find out what careers students may be interested in. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Griffith. Each student and their parents will receive their own personal log in ID and Password for Career Cruising. Click below to see the Career Cruising Video.

7 - 12 Students interested in getting signed up for Typing Instructor Platinum, please contact Mr. Griffith ( to get started.

Typing Instructor Platinum is an online learning tool to help students become better typers. This course is not graded and is not required for students in grades 7-12. However, it has been shown to improve typing speed by implementing correct typing positions in a fun and interactive way. State tests require students to type in most of their answers. Most school work require students to type in their answers. Therefore if students feel they need to improve their typing skills, this program will help them do so.
