STUDENT OF THE MONTH

November 2018 is Alexis W.

CAVE staff nominated Alexis because she is so happy and friendly. She tries hard and she has grown so much in CAVE. One teacher stated, "She is truly a treat to work with!"

Alexis likes to go camping and vacationing. She loves spending most of her free time with family and friends. She also loves swimming and babysitting.

Alexis stated that her favorite thing that "the teacher not only teach, but they make sure you completely understand what they are teaching." She believes that CAVE teachers want all of their students to be successful. Alexis also stated that her teachers "have made such an amazing impact on my life and I love it!"

When asked what her favorite class was, Alexis stated, "Well Mr. Griffith would say its math, but I have to say it is cosmetology because cosmetology comes easy for me, like Phy Ed does for an athlete. Learning about cosmetology at such a young age will help me be successful as that is my minor, post high school. Cosmetology is an art that I truly enjoy and one that I have been practicing since seventh grade."

Some advice that she has for other students interested in coming to our CAVE program is "make sure you keep up with your work, put as much hard work and dedication into your schooling as you can." Also, "if you have any questions regarding your school work, email your teacher right away and let them know what your confusions are."

After high school, Alexis wants to be a Sonographer. "Since fifth grade I have known what I wanted to be! So, once I graduate high school, I would like to major in Sonography and minor in Cosmetology. My dream career would consist of travelng from hospital to hospital, helping others. In my spare time I would like to help my family and friends by giving manicures, pedicures, facials, up-dos and more."
