Our CAVE staff nominated Merric H. as our High School - Middle School Student of the Month because of he has matured so much over these past few years. He is fun to work with and he is hard working.

Merric has three siblings that have all gone to CAVE. Merric likes CAVE becuase it can be both easy and challenging. He likes the fact that if you want to work ahead you can. This helps if your family likes to go on vacation or go camping over a long weekend. He likes the challenges as it is more interesting that just doing work to get it done.

Merric's favorite class is Photography. He loves how you can capture a moment and you are able to remember it forever.

Merric lives on a farm and has 9 horses. His own horse is named Zekra and she is a sweetheart. She gets excited when he opens the gate and has tried (and has succeeded) in open the gate herself.

Merric's favorite hobby is motocross. Although it can be dangerous, it is a lot of fun. He has a track in his backyard where he can go practice.

Merric also likes to BushCraft, which means he has the skill of living in the bush (similar to survival skills). He stated that it is basically hard core camping.

Some advice for students coming into CAVE is to know that it is easy enough to work ahead and yet tough enough that you will be learning things. The teachers are very nice and can help you out a lot. He stated, "I know. They really helped me!". Merric also stated that it is a great school and he is glad that he is in it.

After high school, Merric would like to find a stable job, possibly installing floors like his dad. He may consider going to college for Residential Construction. Construction is a hard job, but there is a big need for it.

Our CAVE staff nominated Amelia D. as our Elementary School Student of the Month. Amelia is hard working, fun and inventive.

Amelia is in 3rd grade. She has had Miss Wendy for her whole CAVE experience and she thinks Miss Wendy is AWESOME! She loves it when Miss Wendy shows her pets off.

Amelia likes to horseback ride, make slime, playing with babies with her sister, drawing and making creative inventions. Amelia also likes playing soccer, gymnastics and playing outside.

Amelia LOVES animals. She has a goldendoodle named Lola, a fish named Berry, and a bunny named Hector. She also just got a new puppy, an Aussie Doodle named Oliver.

The things that Amelia loves about CAVE is that you do not have to wake up early for school. You are also able to eat snacks when you are hungry. You are able to do school work in a variety of positions, like lying on the living room floor.

Amelia's favorite subject is History because she likes stories, adventures and mysteries. Amelia does not know exactly what she wants to do when she grows up, but she knows it will be something to do with animals.
