HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

November 2022 - Micah Z.

Our CAVE staff nominated Micah as our High School Student of the Month because he is a very hard worker and he is always ahead of the game. He is a very solid student with a very bright future.

In fact besides doing an excellent job at school he has two different jobs, including working his local Culver's and doing sheet rocking with his family. A trivia fact that he learned about is that the first ice cream sundae was served in 1881 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

In his free time, Micah likes to listen to music and bake (especially deserts).

Micah enjoys being a CAVE student because you can work at your own pace and get ahead in your classes. One of Micah's favorite classes is Biotechnology which he is taking this semester. His suggestion if you are interested in taking this class is to plan on taking a lot of notes. You will need them.

As of right now, Micah is not sure what he would like to do after graduating high school.

Congratulations Micah on being our High School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing CAVE.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

November 2022 - Matthew M.

Our CAVE staff nominated Matthew M. as our Middle School Student of the Month because he has made some incredible strides this year. She has been working hard, taking good notes, and is easy to work with.

Matthew is interested in Mechanical Engineering and small engines. He owns a small '91 Polaris 244cc two-stroke 4-wheeler. He is currently working on a 107cc engine and taking it all apart to make it work better. Matthew also has an interest in reading all different topics.

When asked what he likes most about CAVE, Matthew responded that he likes the ease of working from home and being able to work ahead as much as you like. When asked what is his favorite class, Matthew's response was "None of them. I love all of them!" He enjoys Language Arts and likes to learn ways to increase the tone of your story or add details while still keeping the story concise and objective. He likes science as it adds to his knowledge of how things work like his engines. History fascinates his ideas of all of the advancements made, even though many dealt with wars. He likes reading about military intelligence, tactics, and the advancement of weapons.

When asked what advice that he would give to other students interested in CAVE, Matthew responded to make sure you don't get caught behind. Time catches with you quickly. Last year I got behind by two weeks. So this year I have been improving on my notes, writing details and focus on being more concise. I try to write down everything that is important, even if it is 6 pages long. Once I have all oof the information, I try and shorten it down to those that I think are the most important.

CAVE is very special to Matthew. School was boring to him before joining CAVE. Since switching to CAVE, it has been really nice. He can focus more on what is important.

Congratulations Matthew on being our Middle School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing CAVE.
