Our CAVE staff nominated one of our new students, Ashlee R., for our May High School Student of the Month. Ever since Ashlee joined our program, she has been putting in consistent time and keeping up with her classes. She asks great questions, makes her meetings on time, and has impressed her teachers when they meet.

Ashlee loves spending time with all the animals at her job at the local animal shelter.

Since this is the first year for being in CAVE, the thing that stands out about being a student in our program is the help you can get from your teachers as well as the flexibility of our program. Ashlee's favorite class is her Health Careers class. She likes this class because it teachers all of the different career paths related to health field and that is what she is interested in doing after high high school.

Ashlee's advice to students coming into CAVE is to do your work everyday! Ask your teachers for help when you need it because they are all amazing!

Our CAVE staff nominated Rebekah S. as our Middle School Student of the Month because of she is so self-sufficient. She is able to navigate our WEN and ALEKS systems without any problems and she works hard to keep up and be successful in those program. Similarly, she has made a big impression with her teachers in such a short time that she has been in our program.

Rebekah likes birdwatching, taking pictures, crafting, drawing and playing with her nephew.

After high school, Rebekah is not quite sure what she wants to be, but she likes photography, taking care of animals, or becoming a naturalist or zoologist. She would love to study nature. Recently she visited Florida with her family and friends. Some of these pictures reflect her photographic eye.

When asked what does she like best about being in our CAVE program, Rebekah responded that she likes how nice everyone is and how much effort our teachers and classmates put into making our school a comfortable place for everyone.
