Honor Society

Cameron Academy of Virtual Education Honor Society has created its own Honor Society for its Junior and Senior students. Here is the process for students to earn this recognition.

Student must be a full time CAVE student and earned 2.5 or more credits in CAVE before applying for this award.

Student must have an accumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher in 10 or more credits.

Student can apply for this position at the end of any semester after your sophomore year. Students will be notified 6 weeks after the end of the semester if they were selected for this honor.

If a student is not selected, they would have the opportunity to apply again the following semester.

Each student application will graded upon a rubric in areas of Character, Leadership, Service as well as in Scholarship on an equal basis (each is worth 25% of the total score). The final score determines acceptance into the program.

To earn the silver honor cords, senior students will need to present their service project (via Google Slides) at the CAVE Honor Society ceremony, which is at noon on the day of Graduation.

CAVE Honor Society members will meet two or more times per semester, virtually, to talk about their service projects, character and leadership skills, as well as come up with any activities that they would be interested in doing.
