HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

November 2021 - Bernadette R.

Our CAVE staff nominated Bernadette R. as our High School Student of the Month because she is takes here studies seriously and she wants to learn what she is studying. Although she is very busy with her dancing, Bernadette is always prompt and ready to go for her meetings and D.B.A.s. She is very happy and a joy to work with.

Bernadette is a busy ballet dancer. She is currently training in Chicago with a ballet studio company, Ballet Chicago. Ballet is more than just a hobby for Bernadette, post high school she would like to continue pursuing professional dancing and coreographing. Bernadette uses her (very) limited free time to work on college applications, to call her friends and family, read, and watch Marvel movies.

Bernadette loves the flexibility that CAVE offers. Her training schedule often does not correlate with the average in-person school day, but CAVE works very well. She enjoys being able to decide what classes to spend time on first each day, and is grateful for the easy and open communication with teachers whenever she has questions.

If she were providing advice to a new CAVE student, Bernadette would tell them to find a good organization system and stick to it. She personally uses a written planner as well as her google calendar to ensure she knows when important meetings or assignments need to be completed. She also labels all notes, both written and typed, so they aren't lost or missing.

This holiday season, Bernadette is spending her weekends performing in The Nutcracker, and her weekdays in tech and stage rehearsals. Once the performances are finished, she will be spending Christmas at home, with her family and her dogs, Reina and Piper.

Congratulations Bernadette on being our High School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing C.A.V.E..

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE MONTH

November 2021 - Katharine K.

Our CAVE staff nominated Katharine as our November Middle School Student of the Month because she is hard working, on time and is fun to work with.

Katharine has a lot of hobbies. She likes to bake, to draw, to play sports, including basketball, and to run around with her friends.

Katharine met LeRoy Butler of the Green Bay Packers. He is the inventor of the Lambeau Leap and author of "From Wheelchair to the Lambeau Leap."

When asked what she likes about our CAVE program, Katharine stated that "I love C.A.V.E. because I can do my school whenever I want in a day." Katharine's favorite class is Science because she wants to go to college and become a nurse. She hopes to attend a 2 year technical college after high school to get started.

Congratulations Katharine on being our Middle School Student of the Month and thank you for choosing C.A.V.E..
